CASE #1: Subcontractor/Procurement Project for USDOT/FAA Capital Improvement Project – Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport
AIMS, hired as a subcontractor to work along side a Big 4 CPA Firm and Prime, assembled a core team of project professionals, led by an engagement partner and project managers, to augment internal staff and perform certain pre-defined procedures to prepare adjustments to the client’s company financials for external auditor testing. After three months, the initial procedures had been expanded based on AIMS' efforts, and the client’s management expanded AIMS' role into turnkey project management so they could focus their energies on other aspects of the project that required attention. The client’s management had a high degree of confidence that AIMS was in control of their assigned areas. Their support and confidence proved to be well placed as the project was completed on time and on budget.
CASE #2: Interim Controller for a Manufacturing Corporation
Our client, an Atlanta-based mineral corporation with global operations, needed immediate assistance with their domestic and international consolidations process while searching to fill a critical but vacant Controller and Accounting Manager positions normally responsible for this function.
AIMS was engaged and provided a talented Project Associate as an interim solution to an urgent challenge. Our Associate stepped in and added immediate value to the process, easing pressure off of Client management and internal staff. After new Controller and Accounting were hired, our Project Associate was retained during the transition period to assist in getting the team up to speed.
CASE #3: Internal Controls, Third Party Negotiations and Payments for a Manufacturing Company
Our client, an Atlanta-Based Manufacturing Company, hoping to avoid filing Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection, needed AIMS assistance in preparing accurate financial reports and upcoming external audit as well as renegotiate vendors, suppliers and IRS payment schedules. The existing corporate accounting team was short-staffed and overworked with no extra time to address the additional workload and burden.
AIMS was engaged to provide a team of senior-level accounting professionals to
assist internal management with preparing financial reports, supporting audit, arranging third party payment schedules and completing reconciliation of various balance sheet accounts. The work was
